Located in the Central Province and will be integrated with the Central Lime Project, on the coast, 25km north of the national capital, Port Moresby, and 7km from the Exxon LNG facility.

The Central Cement Project (CCP) is ready-to-build, with all relevant permits in place. The project’s co-located quarry, plant site and deep draft wharf will enable very low operating costs while providing direct access to both seaborne domestic and export markets such as Australia and other South Pacific nations.

CCP Snapshot:

• Integrated with the Central Lime Project and export wharf facilities with nil trucking distance

• Ready-to-build with all material permits obtained

• Targeting production of 1.65m tonnes of clinker

• Long asset life with approximately 50 years of production capacity

• Import replacement for PNG and targeting Australia's >50% import market for cementitious products

• Working with PNG Government on establishing PNG’s first national cement trading corporation

• Committed to satisfy 100% of Domestic Market demand in PNG first before exporting surplus clinker/cement

From a strong base in PNG, PLC can launch into an under-serviced Australian market that is looking for a secure, reliable alternative source of supply of cement and clinker products.

The Project has the full support of PNG’s national and local governments and is located in a Special Economic Zone, which allows it access to a range of concessions including tax relief and duty exemptions that contribute significantly to its economics.
