Our Purpose

Building Foundations for Progress

At PLC, our purpose is to build the foundations of Papua New Guinea’s future.
We are more than a resources company, we are a nation-building partner. Through the development of world-class lime and cement industries, integrated infrastructure, and downstream manufacturing, we are helping PNG reduce reliance on imports, lower the cost of building, and unlock opportunities for growth across housing, roads, energy, and industry.

Our approach is anchored in partnership with the Government of Papua New Guinea, local landowners, and communities, ensuring that economic progress is shared, inclusive, and sustainable. From creating affordable building materials to enabling transformative infrastructure and environmental restoration, we are committed to projects that deliver long-term prosperity for the nation.

PLC exists not just to extract resources, but to create enduring value - empowering Papua New Guinea’s people, economy, and future generations whilst supporting the environment we reside in to be sustainable for the future.

Our Vision

Empowering PNG through Industry, Infrastructure and Innovation

By harnessing Papua New Guinea’s natural resources, PLC is creating a blueprint for nation-building, driving economic growth, enabling affordable infrastructure, and delivering lasting social impact.

Our strategy is to support PNG and the wider Asia Pacific region’s path to prosperity and where possible decarbonisation by:

Establishing vertically integrated lime and cement industries that provide affordable, high-quality, low-carbon building materials whilst reducing or eliminating import reliance and lowering infrastructure costs.

Partnering in renewable and sustainable energy solutions including solar, wind, geothermal, and carbon mitigation to power industry, homes, and communities whilst offsetting our carbon footprint in our industrial developments where feasible to do so.

Investing in downstream and social infrastructure, from roads, housing, and utilities to environmental restoration and modern community development, ensuring that growth is inclusive and sustainable.
